Floating the Niangua

Keithcanoe
Much of the river is surrounded by undeveloped, natural land where wildlife abounds. Its modest current and shallow gradient mean you'll find easy floats that all level of paddlers can enjoy.

The Niangua is a popular river to float in the hot summer months because of its cold spring-fed water of Bennett Springs. The clear, cool waters of the spring-fed Niangua River offer outdoor entertainment for floaters of all types.

We recommend calling RiverFront Campground & Canoe to set up your float. When reserving your spot, tell them you're staying at RiverWood Resort and the cabin you're in and they will pick you up and drop you off at your cabin!
